Gerald continues: "Everything we need is within easy reach; neighbouring Barley has a Post Office and a mini-market, and there's a Tesco superstore at Royston, which is a 10 minute drive. The wider area, especially Cambridge, has a wide range of highly regarded state and private schools, and there's even a nursery in the village. There are horse-riding and tennis clubs at Barley and a shooting club at Barkway, as well as at least three local golf courses.""Great Chishill is a great place to live; the village hall holds keep-fit classes and there's a wine club that meets monthly, which enables people to get to know each other. There's a lot of transport sharing to the stations and schools.
